O-6 - The Higgs quartic coupling and its beta function both nearly vanish at the Planck scale

lambda(M_Pl) = 0 would require Mt about 2 GeV below its measured central value (Mt below ~171 GeV). The near-vanishing of both lambda and beta_lambda at M_Pl is the quantitative sense in which the SM vacuum is near-critical.

Why this is evidence

H-6 (underlying principle) predicts exactly this configuration: a dynamical or statistical attractor at the critical line makes lambda(M_Pl) ~ 0 and beta_lambda(M_Pl) ~ 0 expected outcomes. H-43 (coincidence) gives the double near-vanishing no special status — two unrelated quantities both landing near zero at the same scale is a priori surprising. One nuance cuts the other way: exact vanishing of lambda(M_Pl) is excluded at 2 sigma, which disfavours the sharpest dynamical variants predicting lambda(M_Pl) = 0 exactly, while leaving attractor-style variants (proximity, not exactness) intact.
