O-43 - As of 1998 gravity had been accurately measured only down to about a centimeter - 33 untested orders of magnitude above the Planck length

The uncontested empirical opening that makes TeV-scale gravity a live possibility at all: nothing measured excluded large gravity-only extra dimensions below ~1 cm (by 1998 sub-millimeter torsion experiments were only planned). Why this is evidence

H-2, H-4 and H-27 all predict exactly Newtonian gravity at every distance that had been probed — their differences (large flat dimensions at sub-millimeter-to-fermi scales, a warped dimension at weak-scale lengths, nothing until the Planck length) sit entirely below the measured frontier — so the Newtonian-down-to-a-centimeter record is equally likely under each of them. The residual H-33, by contrast, spans completions of short-distance gravity with no such restriction, including ones whose modifications would have shown up in the ranges actually tested; that the tested range came out purely Newtonian therefore weighs against H-33 relative to the three named members. Secondarily, the untested-frontier fact is what blocks the otherwise tempting inference from everyday gravity to H-27: nothing measured distinguished a Planckian fundamental scale from a low one (this is the prior-anchoring content step seven may draw on, per A-61’s Gauss-law calculation attached to this observation).
