The members are a proposition and its exact negation: H-29 (runaway conversion) vs H-40 - A stopped negative strangelet would not grow without limit. The prior set runaway at 0.1534 — a mix of a 0.10 outside-view rate for barrier-free runaways and BJSW’s three candidate terminators. Three cosmic-ray survival bounds then drive it to 0.0077: E-32 stellar (0.1×, strongest), E-30 lunar (0.15×), E-31 exposure-count (0.5×, weak against triple-counting).
What the model may not capture
The three edges multiply as independent decrements on the claim their escapes are disjoint — E-30’s rapidity loophole vs E-32’s metastability window. The escapes genuinely differ, but all three inherit the same DDH production-rate chain; if that cross-section is off, 0.15 and 0.1 fail together and their product overstates the joint force. Deeper: these bound whether a dangerous strangelet was ever produced-and-stopped — HC-8’s conditioning, meant held fixed — yet are repurposed as evidence on whether it grows, so the posterior borrows production improbability the cluster should condition out. Is the answer listed? H-29’s own text has growth continue “until released energy vaporizes surrounding material away” — a self-quenching partial conversion, damaging yet not Earth-ending, that neither member captures.
What would help
A production-rate estimate independent of the single DDH/BJSW chain — does not exist (nearly all content traces to S-3). A tractable model of the three terminators, which BJSW call unmodelable — does not exist.
Confusions and contradictions
Metastability plays opposite roles in one paper section: A-60 - Strangelets born in interstellar space would convert stars in supernova-like events - the observed supernova rate bounds RHIC danger below 2e-8, tightening to 1e-21 - unless strangelets are metastable makes it the stellar bound’s decisive soft spot, while A-59 shows it does not reopen the lunar bound (equal reaction time in both frames). Not a true contradiction — different physics — but it is the hinge of the disjointness claim and it caps the cluster: no cosmic-ray bound touches a strangelet metastable between ~1e-7 s and Myr yet collider-dangerous, so the slide to 0.0077 leaves that carve-out unpriced, not closed.
