First paper (arXiv:hep-th/9808138) to work out black-hole physics explicitly within TeV-scale/sub-mm-extra-dimension models: shows such black holes would be bigger, colder, and longer-lived than 3+1D holes of the same mass, and would decay preferentially into bulk graviton modes (a proto-version of the “decay is mostly invisible/harmless” claim later developed by Dimopoulos-Landsberg and Giddings-Thomas). relevance_note: earliest primary source connecting TeV-gravity extra-dimension models to concrete black-hole production/decay phenomenology, predating the two canonical 2001-2002 collider papers.
