Why this is evidence
Bears on the magnitude facet. The serotype-specific contrast (SE egg-associated 44% vs 15% for other Salmonella serotypes) is predicted by H-12 — eggs being specifically the vehicle of the SE epidemic, not a generic Salmonella-egg link — and argues against the H-58 branch where eggs are not the principal SE vehicle. It does not separate internal from external route, so it is weaker on H-11.
