Daily egg consumption vs never/rarely was associated with lower incidence of ischaemic heart disease (HR 0.88, 95% CI 0.84-0.93, P-trend <0.001) and major coronary events (HR 0.86, 95% CI 0.76-0.97, P-trend 0.004) in the China Kadoorie Biobank cohort (30,169 IHD and 5,103 MCE cases).
