An updated dose-response meta-analysis of 12 prospective cohorts (287,963 participants, 16,264 T2D cases) gave a pooled overall HR of 1.03 (95% CI 0.96-1.10) per 3 eggs/week, non-significant, with high heterogeneity (I2 78%); no evidence of a non-linear dose-response in any study (p-nonlinearity >=0.15 for all).
