Why this is evidence
Per-member (H-2, H-3, H-4, H-9, H-10, H-12):
- H-2: predicted, though the effect is small.
- H-3: mildly disconfirmed (wrong sign, though on a CVD not mortality endpoint).
- H-4: predicts a null on IHD but explicitly expects a weak apparent inverse from reverse causation - so it accommodates HR 0.93 well.
- H-9: predicted (large healthy Western cohort, no increased risk).
- H-10: predicted at the ‘no material effect’ level - 0.93 per 20 g/d is small.
- H-12: compatible, unexplanatory.
