Why this is evidence

Per-member (H-2, H-3, H-4, H-9, H-10, H-12):

  1. H-2: disconfirmed (no protection on major CVD).
  2. H-3: disconfirmed (no mortality harm).
  3. H-4: predicted, though PURE’s endpoint set is wider than H-4’s IHD scope.
  4. H-9: predicted but only partially in scope - PURE is mostly non-Western.
  5. H-10: this is its defining confirmation - diverse global populations across income levels, null on lipids, CVD and mortality alike.
  6. H-12: mildly disconfirmed - a strongly direction-varying effect would be expected to surface as heterogeneity somewhere across 21 countries.
