A genotype effect exists directionally for saturated fat (E4 carriers respond slightly more), but it is small and not statistically robust (CI includes zero) - and it is for the SFA challenge, not the dietary-cholesterol challenge.

Why this is evidence
A (directional) APOE effect on the saturated-fat LDL response, with none on the dietary-cholesterol response (O-81), indicates fat quality is the operative determinant of plasma cholesterol (H-3) rather than cholesterol quantity (H-26).
