O-88 - PURE egg-CVD association appeared protective only in participants with prevalent CVD, interaction non-significant
Results were otherwise consistent when early events (first 24 months) were excluded, across geographic regions, and in those with prior diabetes. The prevalent-CVD subgroup was the sole heterogeneity signal, and its interaction test was non-significant.

Why this is evidence
Within PURE the only heterogeneity signal is a non-significant prevalent-CVD subgroup (p-interaction 0.24), NOT region, and results were consistent across geographic regions; the subgroup did not reproduce. H-22 (region-modification) predicts a regional interaction should be the salient one; H-50 (chance / non-significant interactions) predicts the apparent modification is a fragile non-regional subgroup as observed.
