Why this is evidence
An inverse association confined to Asian cohorts (0.92) with null Western estimates (US 1.01, Europe 1.05) is the signature prediction of H-49 (sign is genuinely region-dependent, so no single population-wide verdict) and of H-6 (protection specifically in Chinese/Asian adults). It is in direct tension with H-27 (US harm — the US estimate is null, not >1) and with H-21’s claim of a null holding uniformly across populations (Asia departs from null). It does not by itself distinguish causation from confounding, only the sign’s regional patterning.
