Went looking for a fourth thread — a dedicated NPC1L1-polymorphism-and-egg-response primary — and could not find one (see Exclusions).

The pool holds a real, load-bearing disagreement that should NOT be smoothed over downstream: the two named ApoE anchor studies disagree with each other. S-70 - Lopez-Miranda et al 1994 J Lipid Res - Effect of apolipoprotein E phenotype on diet-induced lowering of plasma LDL cholesterol sits in between: a genotype effect in men, not in women. This three-way tension is itself the finding for this thread, not noise to average away.

  3. The absorption/synthesis-marker-by-ApoE-phenotype J Lipid Res paper (exclusion #7 above) is the one source I’d most want to add if given another read-budget pass.
