91 subjects (40 men, 51 premenopausal women) from the same 640 mg/d egg-cholesterol crossover series as the other Fernandez-lab responder papers, additionally genotyped for the ABCG5 Gln604Glu (rs6720173-adjacent) sterol-transporter polymorphism. C/C homozygotes showed significantly larger LDL-C increases (and a trend to larger lutein increases) on the egg diet than C/G or G/G carriers. Authors note the small per-genotype-group sample size as a limitation.

relevance_note: The clearest non-ApoE genetic modifier identified in this literature — a cholesterol-efflux transporter variant, not ApoE, tracking with hyperresponse — the central primary for thread (iii)‘s “other genetic modifiers” claim.
